What's In My Makeup Bag

Are you ready for probably the smallest what's in my makeup bag post you've ever seen? I don't wear a ton of makeup, I don't know how to do my makeup very well and I don't exactly own anything other than drugstore makeup- But that's okay! I'm doing this post because I actually like spending my time reading about makeup and wishing I knew more about it than I do.

So I think I'm going to try to learn more about it and attempt some new looks.

But to start off, here is a post showcasing my measly makeup collection!

Firstly, I bought this Adrienne Vittadini bag at Winners for less than ten dollars. It's cute but I mainly picked it up because it matched my bathroom...

Foundation. For the past few months I've been using the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse in the shade 'Made for Ghosts' (aka porcelain ivory). I really liked this at first but I don't know. I just haven't been liking it as much lately. Do you ever get like that? You love a foundation the first time you buy it but once you get it again you're like Why did I love this? Yeah. I plan on doing a review on it soon so you can see how it wears.

Concealer 1. My first concealer is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. I've purchased this time and time again. It doesn't give amazing coverage but it's fantastic for lightening up under the eyes. A lot of the time if I'm not in the mood for makeup i'll just stick some of this under my eyes and it actually looks decent.

Concealer 2. Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer. The concealer of all concealers when you're on a budget. This stuff is definitely concealing! A little goes a very long way with this stuff. I've had this for god knows how long and I haven't even made a dent in the tube yet. I only use this when i'm in desperate need of covering something up. Like a really bad pimple or dark under eyes.

Blender. I was that girl who hated using anything but her fingers when applying makeup. Brushes left streaks and sponges just didn't work for me. Until I got this bad boy. I believe the brand is TRUBeauty? I didn't save the package but it is awesome. It was also infused with chamomile so the first few times I used it my face smelled amazing!

Powder. I only use this Wet'N'Wild pressed powder over and under my eyes to help keep my concealer from creasing. Other than that my skin is way too dry to use powder over it.

Blush. Blush is one of my favorite makeup items. I bought this Rimmel London one in the shade Live Pink. Its pretty. I like it.

So that's it. Let me know what your favorite makeup brands are and which ones I should try out!

  4. I bought myself a beauty blender the other day and I'm still yet to use it, it's just so easy using my fingers ahah, you may have motivated me to finally give it a go! When I was in high school I used to swear by the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse but I've never seen the liquid one before! xxx

    1. The liquid one is soo much better than the matte mousse! I find the matte mousse sticks to my dry skin terribly!

  9. Can you believe I've never tried using a beauty blender?! I've heard such good things about them; I also don't like using my fingers and occasionally, my brushes have left streaks. I'll have to (finally) give one a go :)
